I have noticed that my original idea of saving a setup for each track wasnt going to work, basically I would name the setup AS1_SetupSP or MP because I noticed large differences in multiplayer and singleplayer racing. However the list of setups got really large really quick and I have two solutions to this problem.

The first and the one I would like the most, is being able to sort your setups by track. (So I am driving the FOX and go into pits, I say change setup and I could view all sets, or the sets for the track I'm on...) This one would take a litte more time but would be much more organized and allow more tweaked sets...

The other is to be able to add notes into your sets. This is so that I would be making a set for "Fast Tracks" and "Slow Tracks" and I could add notes saying what the best camber / tire pressures and other info that would still change per track and direction.

I think a combo of this would be amazing, but I guess I am just suggesting things that I beleive hasn't been suggested before - did a thorogh search though I could be wrong.

Great idea
+1 good idea im suprised,

and that a hard thing to do
This has been suggested before, but it's such a good idea it doesn't hurt to suggest it again! I'm sure no one would complain about such features .

Another thing I would like to see added would be a Favourite option, where you could mark a set as your favourite for a specific car/track combo, then when you joined a server running that combo it would automatically select your favourite setup for it.

Yeah that could be another thing, is your favorite, or even to make it easier for the devs the "last used" set for that combo is used. I mean favorite wouldn't be much more work, but the last used set for the car/track combo would be easier and probably just about as nice... Great addition!
+1!
If not a completely different setup system, at least a listing system like that of the skins.. With tabs on the top, for different tracks as you said.

+1 for your idea,
+1 for my own!

Yes, a folder or a tab system, either would work as long as you are able to select a set from a different combo. I use FE Green sets for quite a bunch of other tracks, such as South City on the occation I run there.

Then again, what is the need for more than one or two sets for a particular combo? Yes, I do have about 10 Blackwood sets for the FZR I'm finding with BL being the next LOTA race. I really should get rid of most though as I only use one set. I may have a set with R2's and another with R3's, but it's easy with just a few sets. Label them all with the track prefix, then a short description and it's easy to find.

There's already a way to identify your favorites: using colors in their name.

For example when practicing for a league race, I always end up with several versions of both the quali and the race set. I use a '-r' or '-q' suffix to differentiate them and I use a color on this suffix of my favorite couple of sets, so they stand out in the list.

Also I prefix all my sets with the track code, so sorting the sets list by name will sort them by track. But if you have lots of sets, it may still be a bit difficult to find the one you want. For example on CTRA, you don't have much time to find a set during track rotations. So I use a color on the track code of each set I use on CTRA, and that way, when sorting the sets list by name, all my CTRA sets (one per track) end up grouped at the top.

I also agree that the suggestions made by the OP are good (even though none of them is new, I think) and I'd like to see them implemented.
I think it's a good idea but for me, I would just want a R(reverse) tab
next to each set just like when choosing the track, there is the R next to it.
This would cut my list in half considering I have a regular and reverse set for each track.
Yea, that would cut mine in half also. I was wondering if I was the only person who madea set for each track / combo. And this didn't even include any qualifying sets, or sets that included only certain tires etc... (Described above somewhere). So yea glad everyone is enjoying the idea. Hope the devs like it also!
