Wow, NASCAR got one vote. It's more popular than I thought.
Quote from mr_x :Where's touring cars? they don't fit with any of those options. If it was there, it would have my vote

F1 sucks, it is more bussiness than motorsport. Anyway, I don´t like any open wheel competition. I like to see beautiful cars racing, not ugly airplanes roading. DTM, BTCC, WTCC, FIA GT... these are more interestings for me.
Didn't vote because I don't "follow" anything. Today, I was going to watch some Rolex series, but the kids took over the TV. I caught maybe 2 or 3 laps of the Nextel race. We really don't have coverage for anything but NASCAR and Rolex to be able to "follow" anything. There is a few races that you can catch, but it's a hit or miss and never live.

I watch racing, any racing, when I see it show up on the channel guide, but don't actually "follow". I couldn't tell you any racer's name other than Nextel cup.
I'm new at racing, I started to like It back in 2005.
I watch F1 since 2006, I missed Silverstone this year .
I watch NASCAR when I find It on tv (Bush series).
IRL when I find It on tv too.
Moto GP, the same as NASCAR and IRL.
WTCC... same.

And I think thats all We get here on the Basic TV pack.
i follow all kind of race, mostly open wheelers.... if theres GT or WTCC or something related to that... i watch it
we hardly get anything here in aus. F1 in the middle of the night, and bits and pieces of various local racing for an hour or 2 on the weekends such as drifting, or ameteurs in commodores, and v8 supercars, but i never remember to watch the v8s,plus i cant stand some of our commentators. I feel motorsport deprived.
GT cars, DTM for me. These always get me glued to the t.v, the others make me fall asleep on the sofa. I like to see tin tops in close racing and lots of overtaking. I assumed that touring cars fits into this option. I find that I prefer to watch the porsches mix it up in the lower classes than the prototype cars. I like to recognise cars from the roads I drive on.

Quote from lizardfolk :Yes this forum is very anti-NASCAR

Maybe they just don't think it's "the best"?

Personally i rarely watch F1, so i'll put myself down for STCC

There's a difference between thinking it's not the best and making personal attacks.

LAWL STCC Me personally I'm starting to get more interested in the American Le Mans. I missed NASCAR to watch that this weekend

I've never liked F1 too much because of all the controversy in the sport.
Quote :I watched the Italian and Belgian F1GPs. Monza was ok, but the Belgian one just now was a snoozefest. One interesting moment when Hamilton got forced wide, and that was it.

MotoGP today, on the other hand, had plenty of action and two bikes dicing for the win for the last 5 laps. I wish I'd seen the whole race, but missed the first few laps as I'd been out on the bike.

If you'd tuned in for the whole race you would have seen that Rossi was going to comfortably take the win and that he would launch his attack in the last 5 laps. I dont watch bike racing often, but even I could see he was only holding back to ensure the championship leader didnt finish second. It wasnt really any more interesting than the Belgian GP tbh.

Anyway I vote STCC too, although I might be biased...

I'd rather be Easily pleased than Bored with everything Good luck in your life mate.

he was on a tyre that hadnt been tested for full race distance and he did'nt even know if it would last.
F1 is more of a TV soap then a sport but meh im attached to it..

I would really like to watch Super GT or DTM but we dont get that over here..

Considering he's not had his way for the last 4 races, I wouldn't have said a foregone conclusion. His tactical racing is the best of the riders, but you can see his bike lacks the straightline speed that the others (ducati in particular) have.

It's all personal interest of course - I find bikes interesting, and bike racing interesting. I feel I can understand it more as I've ridden high-performance bikes on road and track, whereas I haven't really driven any high-performance cars on either road or track.

Anyway, at least there was some overtaking, instead of the first 4 racers having a drive round for a bit and then finishing in the same order. <runs away>
