Heres the deal. On my PC, i have a Gigaworks S750 7.1 surround system, coupled with a sound blaster X-Fi elite pro sound card and a Decoder DDTS-100. Now, i am very happy with this setup, and it has proved great so far, but i need a little advice on another surround sound system i am looking to buy. We have a games room, with a computer hooked upto a projector for music videos and movies etc. On this PC, were using a sound blaster X-Fi Elite pro sound card as well, but the speakers are some pretty pathetic logitech x210's (2.1). Im looking to purchase a nice 5.1 system. I would go for 7.1, but as we only play movies when guests come round, there is no need for such an expensive piece of kit. So far, i am pretty convinced on the logitech z-5500 5.1 system, but i was wondering if any of you know any more good 5.1 systems? My max budget is £500, and basically, im looking for something with crisp sound, yet good bass. Also, if any of you come across any cheap decoders, it would be appreciated if you post them here too.
