Linux OS 2007: Problem
I'm guessing this post would go under off topic, being it has nothing to do with LFS at all.

So I think I'll be switching operating Systems and heading towards Linux, How ever I'm using a shared connection Via wireless and I cant get Linux connected to the Internet. I got a wireless router but I'm not sure if I'm forgetting something or not. If you can help me out I'd appreciate the help. I know not to many people use Linux let alone wireless routers, so any help would be great.

Thanks -Mike
Can you give some more details? Which Linux distrobution are you using? Also, are there linux drivers for your wireless network card?

Well I'm thinking about switching to sabayon, but I'm using a receiver thats plugged into my usb if that help. I should save the problems and go with a wired router HUH?? Make it simple for myself. Do you know if I can use a wireless router as a wired router?? It's connected to the modem and has 4 ports for kat5 cable so if i get kat5 cable and run it to my computer it should be the same as a wired router correct??

Yes, an ethernet cord would work fine. If the computer is too far from the router, you could get a wireless bridge, and plug your computer into that. (A wireless bridge connects two wired networks with a wireless connection, basically)
thanks...I'll just get some cable and go wired...
