Computer auto restart after shutdown
Hi all,

just got a new laptop, and I'm having a tiny problem with it.

It's a laptop (Cinet PM965 if you know that one) with an external monitor (Acer 22" AL2216WSD, DVI connection) running Vista Ultimate.

The problem is, when I'm shuting down the computer, it's shutting down, but restarts again after a couple of seconds.
But if I disconnect the DVI cable (to the external monitor) the problem is gone, when I shut it off it stays off.
Or, if I shutdown, and then quickly shuts off the external monitor, the laptop will stay off. But if I turn on the monitor again, the laptop is also turned on.

Checked the BIOS, but no setting for this there. Also tried to ask my friend mr. Google, but he couldn't help me with this.

Anyone?

Try a different cable, if that doesn't help, try a different monitor.
In my bios there's a "power on by pci / pcie devices" option.
Now i guess the gfx card is responsible for that, since it's the only pci device connected to a monitor. Now i don't know how it is in laptops, but try shutting evrything that starts with "power on by..." off.
