That's just the word she was given. People get assigned a single word in sequence. I can only assume the story had something to do with a door at that point.
Hardly. Most people strive to be different from everyone else, in a unique sense. The thing is that it's just a line that people go down. Some will wear weird tshirts or ties. Some will wear rings or have piercings. Some will wear tattoos. Some will get implants. Some will get both. Some people get scarification done. Some people will amputate parts of themselves. I'm sure that there's more down the line. The thing is that everyone's line stops somewhere different. Personally I want to become significantly tattoo'ed (it's just in the works due to work atm - yes I am a realist) and get a couple of implants, but I'm not sure that I could deal with chopping a pinky off. However, some people do.
Still alive and kicking (If you have an IAM account, or he's opened it up, you can access his frequent blogging here). He's currently staring in a The Great Orbax's sideshow, to the last of my knowledge.
Sadly for every good tattooer there are many more bad ones. It pays to get recommendations and check out the artist beforehand at least once. Or better than that, head to a convention (unfortunately I believe the UK ones are now over for this year).
If anyone really has an interest in Body Modification then may I suggest checking out BMEZine and getting ahold of the documentary MODIFY which, although a few years old, gives a good insight on all aspects of body modification.
yeah some people are freakin insanely crazy. like my friends dad if he ever gets reallly pissed off at someone or something instead of yeling or something he will break all of his fingures and then put them back in place.
