Quote from Zachary Zoomy :yes. I don't drive with the highest resolution and stuff. I lower it so I get better framerates. and when I want to take a screenie, I turn all the options higher.

I get 100 fps, everything maxed out on 1690x1010 res.
well if i get a new gfx card will that help?

maybe, maybe not. I'd suggest maxing out your RAM (memory) first.
do cheaper ----> more expensive

RAM wll give him the exact same him the exact same image quality though?!

Without knowing your PC specs, it's impossible for me to suggest an upgrade.

BTW - It used to be the standard upgrade for a PC was to give it more RAM, because they used to give a ridiculously small amount of RAM, however now it seems system builders are giving good CPU's, decent amounts of RAM and crap GFX cards.
the easy thing to do would be to buy a new cpu.. mobo, psu, gfx card, more ram, new hdd, new monitor, and a new case
Microsoft windows xp
professional
version 2002
service pack 2

AMD athlon(tm) processor

1.32 GHz 640 MB or ram
-------------------------
well theres my sucky computer
/me knows little about computers but, I'd suggest more RAM.
buy it........

If he really has 640 MB RAM, than that's a rubbish suggestion, because 640 MB will be enough for LFS.

I would rather spend money an decent priced budget graphics card. Will give your system a good boot in quality AND performance

Ignore that post did you?

TBH upgrading the CPU or RAM is a little bit pointless - i still don't know what GFX card you have - perhaps running GPU-Z (Pick a mirror here) might help.
Quote from mutt107 :... well i am only 13 so i don't know how to do that gfx card stuff.

im 12 and ive known forever rofl

Personally, I think one of LFS's best features is that it WILL run on a really low-spec machine. It demonstrates what an extremely well-coded program LFS is.

mutt107, don't let the techno-snobs grind you down. Your credentials in LFS are all about speed and cleanliness. They're NOT about how 1337z0r your PC is.
