Probably been covered before, but i havnt seen anything yet, what do you use to play lfs, Keyboard, mouse, joystick, steering wheel/pedal, game controler or other?

I was looking into getting a wheel/cutch pedals but im unsure which are compadible with LFS.

Well most wheels are compatible, although i would recomend the G25, Momo or DFP from Logitech, Momo and DFP are about £50 and work great, while the G25 is much better and comes with 3 pedals, its £150

Wel I use the mouse + keyboard atm! I can't afford to buy a good wheel Would love to be able to afford the G25 but not everyone is made of money

same as my settings i have a keyboard and mouse

i have a relativly cheap FFb wheel. its quite good and i have no major problems with it. although sometimes it sounds as if im snapping the pedals. its a logitech.

wheels makes me tired so i use mouse usually

I used to be quite good on the old Ks. But 8 weeks of LFS soon wrecked me tendons in my wrists. :hihi: So I went for my Sony PS2 Pad / USB connector. Got it to actually go straight to. Pretty awesome to drive now.

I got a spring wheel/peddels. I just choose not to use it. I find it a bit cumbersome. Also, I use the 3rd Person / Chase View to drive, so wheel control sorta feels bizaar.

Yeah in my left hand sometimes tendons near my wrist hurt if I race to long- in any game, be it LFS, RBR, rF, or GTR2.. Gotta watch that.. or turn the forces down if it gets too bad.

my wrist always hurts using keys after an hour, my hand is usually turned up at a 70 degree angle, or as far as itll go, it really can be a pain, but hey, whatever makes me faster has to be done illepall i dont have room or money for a wheel, ill be around on keys for a while, ill end up the last keys player with an S2 license!

LOL rob, at this moment there's the same number of people that use a JOYSTICK! as a keyboard...

Why not play by using voice recognition (if possible) ..... anymore un-realistic driving controllers?...joystick..... :biggrinfl

lol brad, voice recognition? would it turn more depending on how panicky your voice sounded?
I seem to enjoy keyboard, its more fulfilling when you thrash a bunch of wheel users.

I'd Love to try that!! Do a charity event by someone kindly developing the system then people donate so much cash depending on how many laps you manage to complete over 24hours (making sure you keep withing 107% of your best laps though)

Wheel with force feedback is the only way to really enjoy this game to its full extent.

You guys complaining of pain in you hands etc. That's your body saying - "Ahem dude, stop - this is damaging you internal nerves/tendons/muscles"

Dont say - anything to go faster... Omg! Trust me > change you technique, take a break, adopt a new controller, something, anything!!!
I ignored my pain, now i cant even hold a mouse for 1 minute without it biting me. This pain has continued for like 12 months 24/7 . It's seriously not worth it.
