could anyone tell me if this psu is any good and if it has the right plug for the mobo as the psu says a 24pin and my mobo says a 240pin.

Here is the link to the psu:

I am buying a new psu as my graphic card has packed in a couple of days ago and I will be buying a new one but I need a psu with more watts. This is only a temp fix, so I can play LFS and TDU untill just after xmas when I get the money to build a quad.

Could anyone tell me if this can run TDU ok, I know this is a LFS forum and I play lfs more but I need to know if this graphic card will be ok at running TDU

Heres the link to the graphic card:

Should be ok with TDU shouldn't it?

Note: That the components will be bought locally as I don't want to wait for the products and plus I can take them back but I will be buying my parts for my new pc from overclockers and ebuyer.

Sam.
That PSU should work with that card and motherboard at my point of view.

That 240 pins that you see in the motherboard specifications its for the memories, I mean the memories to that motherboard should be 240 pins connected.

Have a look at what the minimum specs say for the game you want to be able to play. It's a cheap card so I wouldn't expect much more than low settings for any game.

Also the 240pin is for the DDR2 memory slots and the 24pin on the power supply refers to the.....power supply.

Its rough but going on that little picture that becomes a little bigger when you mouse over it, it looks like a 24pin power supply connector (that’s if it's accurate) couldn't find anything else.

EDIT: I thought, could be wrong, that 24pin power supplies will work on a 20pin motherboards. You just plug it in with the 4 extra pins out one side.

You are correct. the 24-pin PSU connectors usually have a 20-pin portion and an extra 4-pin portion that can be snapped or slid off when only using 20.
