Quote from thisnameistaken :Bless Jimmy Cauty - he's a very clever feller.

Ahhh, yes, what a nutcase, he had a thing for sheep too, was he welsh?
Quote from Bean0 :
MINUS 500 DEGREES
Hell freezes over.
Sunderland qualify for Europe.

ROFL!!!
best one I have heard for years!!!

btw...didn't notice the weather this morning...didn't get up until 11 (day off )
Quote from JTbo :

That is going on my door when I go back to uni, as I have a few Londoners in my house.
It's quite sad. I'm Scottish, but living in the Land of the Heathens and Murderous Swine (ie England) for the last 7 years has really messed up my internal thermometer. And London for the last 3 years has turned me into a total wuss.

That said, we (or technically 'they', bloody Londoners!) had frost this morning, so it was at least around 0 degrees. And I'm not wearing a fleece or anything yet, so I'm doing well

Oh yes, it says -6 (C as in Celcius, which is 21.2 F) here way up north, I have window fully open as it is bit warmy as just came up from (cold)shower
It isn't really cold here either (4.5°C). The only thing that is a bit annoying is the wind and the bit of rain
Cycled in to work in shorts and T-shirt today

I had gloves, admittedly.

With right wind and rain those 4.5C can feel like -20C.
Remember last week, was some positive C`s outside, but it was blowing much and raining (the rain hited you from straight angel due to the damned wind) and it was bloddy cold. I had to walk a distance that takes 20 mins, and I swear, I have never in my entire life been that cold before. I was freezing the rest of the day and had a lot of pain when I was trying to heat up again.
Quote from danowat :I was watching a program the other night, and they had a room that was -110, they said if you stand in it for 30 secs it can cure arthritis and other ailments, sod that.

Well yes, I'd imagine death cures most ailments.

To the topic, there was ice and ground front a plenty on the way to work this morning, thankfully the main roads were free of this but the little cyclepath I use to cut across two main roads was almost completely white and I had a lovely little sideways slide while cornering on it (and going downhill). Now who says bikes can't drift? Thankfully with good use of countersteering I didn't come off.
Maybe I dreamt it?, who knows......
This morning was rather warm for us Scots beleive it or not.

No ice on the windscreen and no ice on the roads either, had some mornings where the ice was to thick to even scrape off the windscreen and the roads are full of ice (I got a pleasent surprise when Takumi Mooney took over at 10mph! )

It's still hellova cold for us pour barstewards who work outside though, but even more so for those people whos boss was around to catch them laving early.

-2C/calm and ground covered in snow yesterday, +6C/winds 40km/h and all snow gone today.
Wow - that's like the opposite of hear. Yesterday it got up to 76 during the day, which broke the previous winter warmth record by like 8 or 9 degrees (Fahrenheit). Tho in a few days it's supposed to snow, lol.
It's been getting down to about -15C here lately at night. Max of about -5C during the day. But where my brother has moved to in Canada he's going to be getting -40C before long, so it's comparatively pretty warm here!
Quote from Jakg :I'm in the middle of the most boring Geography lesson ever with a council worker lecturing us on redeveloping a nearby town with WiFi benches. As every second ticks by i'm loosing the will to live, i think you should excuse me missing a "The"

6th Form ftw, eh?

That'll teach you not to do 'colouring in classes' for A level now won't it. (I hope my friend doesn't see this - he's the ultimate Geography Keeno!)

I'm still wearing shorts. 5 years hiking from Union Station to West Wacker has burned off any cold receptors in my skin!
