Inspired by the post in Harjun's thread...shall I put pi to 1 million decimal places in this post? :P

Yes, I'm bored, yes, I'm drunk and yes, I've got nothing better to do...

DK
Your drunk at 9pm on a Thursday night?

Your doing the Irish people's reputation the world of good.
Yes Sadly

Course ended today. Celebrating

Besides, I've stood up for the Irish the past year :P

DK
That's a fairly good reason to celebrate.

Congratulations
Thanks Now back on-topic

On second thoughts...PM me suggestions for other forums where I could do this stunt...I like the LFS forums
Quote from DieKolkrabe : yes I'm drunk

That explains everything. I have to Pi everywhere when i'm drunk too.

Sorry!
I don't think DK is crazy enough to pull such a menouvre!
Not on this forum :P I like it here
If he posts, I'll count the decimals!
Do it do it do it

I think he's chicken

Hey if you do, I'll grant you useless thread of the week
All talk and no trousers?
I was told I'd be banned... And I don't want to lock my system up or take an award from Kev or Harjun or Dustin
Piowned.
I managed it on another site

Screenies up tomorrow, if I ain't banned from there

I blame Harjun for this...

DK

Tada, 1 M digits.

Dual Core = No System Lockup, either :P

EDIT - I tried...

"1. The text that you have entered is too long (1154561 characters). Please shorten it to 30000 characters long."

So it's attached

EDIT 2 - I tried attaching it -
"pi_data.txt:
Your file of 1.12 MB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 1,000.0 KB for this filetype."

Grrrr
I love Pi. Know it to 15 places. I'm trying to learn more though.
At school they had Pi to alot of places. It started at one end of the big maths building, went all the way down the hall, then back up the other side.
I love piiiii
There...

Screenies will come tomorrow ^^

Quote from DieKolkrabe :Already done, post above yours

Yeah, I noticed it when I finished posting, it wasn't there when I started, but I couldn't find SuperPi, and I'm too much of a lazy arse to delete the post.
I'll buy somebody a new car if they can find Pi to 1 billion decimal places and post it on a forum

2 new cars to the person that finds pi to enough decimal places to wrap round the earth, it must be in a single line, printed on pieces of paper with font size 10, going round the earth.

Seeing as i can get 1 M digits done in 30 seconds (well, if i used my desktop i could get it done in 16), that means that 1 Billion would take 8 hours 20 minutes, which isn't that long...

If i found a better version of SuperPi it would be even quicker, of course i don't have a version that has a "1 Billion" option, though.
