yh i will have spurts of flatshifting then start lifting to let things settle then go on the attack and flatshift again
edit: mikey most guys started with the base setup avalible from the ctra website, got to the server page and there is a download link with the ufbr server details
I lift about 10% - similar to the function of the the FBM if you know what I mean.
It's not flat shifting.
You can flat shift - it does cook the clutch a bit slowly - but also i find that if you do flat shift - the rise and then fall in revs actually produces a slower gear change which results in a slower lap time.
Is this literal, i.e they are exactly the same apart from the driver markings and numbers, or is is just down to the 'general look'.
Our plan was to have our skins basically the same, but with small changes to each others car. You probably wouldn't notice them without looking in detail, but meh.
It is important that (not making an exmaple of MikeyG by anyways) that people should make sure they have read and understood all the rules before signing up for this championship.
Improvement suggestion: less restriction, I think 45% kills the fun of an exciting car. It also amplifies the incredible amount of grip that the UFR has.
If you were to reduce the grip level or increase the power of the UFBR I really think that would improve the quality of the racing & the series as a whole.
The UF-BR Cup is designed to have close racing. This version with 45% restriction has very much grip compared with the quite low power. So everyone is able to drive fast. Lower grip needs a good driver, so the lap time range will be so wide that it kills every close racing ambitions.
After competing in season 1, I would have to disagree with that. The whole season was a lot of fun and the 45% restriction created a few things.
Firstly, it created some fantastic close racing between the less AND more experienced racers.
Secondly, the really superb racers (apart from Moosey ) were still able to shine with their faster lap times.
With that restriction set at 45% you can spend time tweaking the setup more for that hundredth of a second
This is cool. The car reminds me of what I hopefully will be able to own in a few months time - a Mini Marcos. Small, lightweight and not that much horsepower. I'll just check my own calendar first!
