rolling starts/ lets you test ur setup before races and warm up tires(everyone knows how new tyres is like driving on ice...)
also, on the outlap new players could join instead of having to wait a lap. lastly, as experienced racers will know, there is an art to judging acceleration on rolling starts etc.........?
