with the new patch, as u know, u gotta release throttle if u want to shift down.
but when the car is speed limited, u can shift back without releasing ur throttle?

Nope - the gearbox won't be highly loaded on the limiter, and thus allow the "swapping of cogs".

Not like lower rpm really. The limiter keeps the throttle mostly closed, so it's like lifting when your driving normally, just for a very long time

How about when when I hold the shifter down in preparation for the next gear shift, and I hit a bump and it jumps into the next gear? Happened alot to me at South City before I adjusted my habits.

Again, as you go over a bump, the torque capacity of the wheels (now relatively unloaded) drops to almost nothing (and your driven wheels accelerate as a result), the load comes off the dog rings, and hey presto a gear change occurs.

It really is as simple as that, and pretty much like real life.
