YAY it works. Only problem is i got this error.

Error 1 Invalid expression term '&&' C:\Documents and Settings\Owen\Desktop\LFS_External_Client\Form1.cs 546 27 LFS_External_Client
You have the && outside the area it should be in, or inside an area it should be in.

And please, use one of your many many threads for this...

ye now i get another error saying:

Error 1 Method name expected C:\Documents and Settings\Owen\Desktop\LFS_External_Client\Form1.cs 546 26 LFS_External_Client

and this is getting on my nerves. error after error after error after error.
sun, read the book you got. Take a good look through it. All your problems will be gone
#55 - sun
yes it came today i'am obsessed with it. Iam taking it to school tomorrow and going to read it there to
#56 - sun
But while i'am reading it and doing projects in it, do you know what the error is ?
Stop hijacking other people's threads - you have tens of threads in this forum with your questions in. Why not just use one of them?
#58 - sun
not in the same topic
you wont start talking about xy positions in how to delete buttons for example
Yet its perfectly fine to hijack my thread about XY positions and talk about Method Errors?

Fair Enough, we shall take this conversation to the Car Skins forum...

Rob ? i've never seen you in msn. Plus why talk about this in the car skins forum ? why not here ?

I might ask you the same question!

@ Sun: It was sarcasm...I was pointing out that you might as well be in the Car Skins forum, as the thread title seemingly means nothing to you...
#63 - sun
? i dont get what your trying to say there ?
dougie probably means something like this "go away you **** and don't write in threads not created by yourself"

Or in other words... stop asking stupid questions in threads where they don't belong

I wasn't saying it that harshly

Seriously, you've made at least 7 threads, go use one of them...

i'am posting my threads in the right one about X Y positions and errors like u said.

but honesly i'am reading that book and i'am sweting hot drinking water and all, At least one of you can help me with my errors.
This thread is about XY positions of tracks *not* about general compile errors. If you have a problem *directly* related to XY positions, this may be the thread - but what you're showing us are general compile errors, thrown because of invalid syntax.
No Sun, this has nothing to do with Insim...it's about Windows Form programming...

E: James beat me to it...my F5 button is broken
Right, back on topic...

I got the zoom working, I'm using a picture box instead of a form background. But now I can't get the mouse position to work right...

Basically I have the picture box inside a panel with autoscroll on (easier than getting scrollbars, I think). Now I need to find the position of the scrollbars, so I can find the mouse position on the picture, rather than the screen. Has anybody seen such a thing?

Of course, my other option is to use manual scrollbars, but I'd like to try the first option first...

Well i'am not making any more threads
Sun, stop spamming my thread, use one of your own...no-one asked you to make any more...
I also found that autoscroll does indeed have scroll position status

Oddly enough though, the horizontal scrollbar's position when I have it fully to the right is -512, even though the form I'm using has a width of 492...And the height has the same, but is out by 17...And they're both minus lol

It may just be easier to go with your idea Darktimes and make manual scrollbars...
The Scroll event should work with AutoScroll too I believe, it's fired whenever the control is scrolled, no matter the reason. Just hook up a scroll event to the control, then each time a scroll occurs store the horizontal and vertical position in class variables.

Plus, and I don't really know, but I think the scroll position might be relative to some sort of origin, which you may or may not be able to set yourself (I don't know). Also don't presume that the scroll position is given to you in pixels, it may well be some other measurement (but again, I don't know).
Thanks for the info, fixed it

It required some calculation that I don't where I got it from...for 200X zoom, I took 249 from the form's mouse position (to make the center the origin, as my test window is 498 wide). From this I then took the scroll position + 256, and divided the lot by 2...I don't know where I got it, but it works! And to increase the zoom, I just replace 256 with half the scrollbar in the zoomed in state, and replace 2 with the magnification...phew!
