I've always had this problem but I decided right now to try to reach out and ask you folks here to maybe help me out. Everytime I put a skin in the folder or setup or layout or anything when I load up LFS it does not show up on LFS at all. I know the obvious answer is "it's not in the correct folder" but I can guarantee it is in the correct folder. Other than that I don't know what else I can be doing wrong. Any help would be great.

Can you verify that you're adding your custom skins into

/data/skins/ (if they are jpeg)
or /data/skins_dds/ (if they are DDS files).




Sounds go in the folder:

/data/sounds/

They are accessable by pressing Shift-A I do beleive. (these are custom CAR sound settings - I guess you're talking about?)


Layouts go into

/data/layouts/

- pressing Shift-U will bring up the track editior, where you can load the layouts (or /axlist and /axlist NAME).


Setups has changed location to

/data/setups/ (with a new format XFG_NAME.set).


hope this helps - I realise that its badly written - but it'll do.


edit: also make sure that you're putting them into the right LFS folder, if you have more than one folder. Double check where your shotcut is pointing to.

Well I think I found my problem I've been putting in the files in an old LFS folder with an older patch so it's a completely different shortcut then what I'm using... but I can't find the folder where the shortcut is coming from. So I'm just going to reinstall i guess.
