Despite any flaws I think the yellow flag ratio is still a good indicator of how clean a racer you are overall. I do my darndest to stay on track and pointing in the right direction and it shows with only 14%.
Quote from SamH :You got one of those Porsche wheels, Niels?

Yup, nice wheel but due to drivers isnt working properly.
Quote from niels1 :Getting your Yellow flag ratio down isnt easy, I agree sam. But it is certainly doable. I went from 32% to 26% in a couple off months. It takes time. But with every game it takes time to get better.

Speaking of CTRA, I shoul dget my ass back in the servers. Just so caught up with testing the new wheel and getting it working properly. I miss the racing there.

It`s easy, I whent from 16-14 and back to 16% on 1 week
Sometimes you have these days where everything goes wrong, and you allways doing mistakes :/
Oh, yes, I know it's the same for all of us

And I'm quite proud of fighting the ratio down to 27% - averaaaaage, averaaaaage - from the previous 33%. I was just looking to get the system as accurate to our own personal statistics as possible, rather than making our personal stats 'better' than anyone else's

From watching Flag info coming from LFS most of the things asked for here aren't an issue (at least in the current patch, I can't comment for previous ones).

Yellows generally aren't thrown for some time after the start of a race (making it slightly annoying to test), and in testing so far I've not managed to get a second yellow thrown for myself without clearing the first one. If you know a cast-iron way to rack up multiple yellows then please pm it to me.
Leaving the pits at SO Sprint 1 is one oddball, but not really worth a PM.

When you leave the 'garage' and start moving, you throw a yellow before the start/finish line, and then you'll throw another one as soon as you cross the start/finish line because you're in a new sector but still not up to race speed.

LFS issue, not CTRA

But I don`t wanna have yellows
Yeah, it's a flaw with the placement of the start-finish line, I know, but my understanding of X-System is so small I thought there might be some programmable way to avoid this
