Lets see... there's my bed... still in the condition I left it 2 days ago...
and theres my PC/workplace...
a machete and a snowboard are lying on the floor, and there are socks everywhere, the Lava lamp still works, which is good, and my TV and videocamera along with DVcam player look clean enough (which means I can still see which one of them is which through the dust...)
The Barbell is the only thing that's clean

Everything seems to be normal...
Quote from Takumi_lfs :I have my mom for these things

Sad to say...Same Im to young to have to worry about cleaning...I out stuff where I know where its at..then my mom cleans and moves it 2 inches and I have no clue to where its at...
I clean my room every sunday.
I don't regularly clean, but sometimes I just get the urge and I become an unstoppable machine. It's actually pleasurable to do. Granted this only comes around once every few months.

Aside from that I'll happily live out of a washing basket, etc.

The only place that *must* be clean is the desk on which I work and thus the area around the computer(s). I can deal with phones, additional laptops, a single pen and about 4 coasters in this area (which all must stay in the same spot), and that's it.

Oh, and the carpet can't get too messy. I hate that.
Quote from JTbo :Yeah, that is it, then I remember I live alone and start doing stuff in computer forgetting that I should been cleaning.

roffle

Quote from JTbo :....my mum (does) stuff like massage and such. Home service it is called in finnish, don't know english version.

Yeah, we've got an English name for that 'personal service' too.

...

In theory i have a cleaning lady that comes in once a week to keep the place tidy. But in reality it seems i'm actually paying her to drink tea, eat all my biscuits and give me the latest indepth account of the various ailments of her extended family.
My all the clothes I have wore already are on the floor,

two old CRT monitors I planed to take to the recycling center have
been in the same spot for three weeks,

there is the box to my PS3 I bought 2 months ago near my trash can,

my books are scattered amongst the dirty clothes on my floor that you can't see,

old envelopes that have already been opened are pilling on my desk around my G25,

the books on my bookshelf are stacked horizontally instead of vertically,

my room has not been dusted ever..........

Yeah, I need to do something about this.
My room is very tidy, due to a complaining mum.

"No, you're not going to your girlfriend tonight until you're room is cleaned!

But... But...

NO!

Ok.. I'll go clean it.
"

My desk mostly is a mess and remains such, I find everything perfectly back, even though it is a mess. I think it is just some sort of own system I got... not sure which but...
I do am very keen with my computer cds, school documents, bank affairs and such, all neat cleaned in a few maps.

I hate cleaning, yet sometimes it can be refreshing when the cleaning is done and you actually can see how big your room is
Quote from dawesdust_12 :I prefer the 3 step process:
1) Make a mess
2) Realize you have girls coming over
3) Tidy like mad til 5:00 AM, and then sleep, and then realize that you can't stay awake.

4) Be GLAD that you cant stay awake, because the only time you are likely to have girls coming round is in your dreams!

Maybe a new topic: "Post Your Mess"; where everybody has to take piccies of the mess that they inhabit

Now why couldn't have I thought of that? He follows me around like a puppy ripping on me, I had the perfect chance right there

I can't. I came home from work yesterday and the wife said, "I cleaned downstairs." That's my domain and where my computer is, in the basement. I could tell I had a shocked and scared look on my face. Now I can't find a thing!
I clean my room each 2nd sunday. I like when anything is ok, and things are on their right place and it's agreeably to stay in the room. I like when it is fresh, no mess around.

I'm not so lazy to come and make it fresh when garbage is around and there appear dust layer on things around. At all i am plenty accurate with my things.
Don't tink that, i am not cleanness monster. :nol2:

I'm a chronically lazy neat freak so I usually sit around in a big pile of mess feeling really bad about it. I really should clean up in here...
You ridicule me?
I also use the ABC system as described by Becky. The only place which I clean half-regularly is my pc desk, obviously. My room is always a mess, and when translating useless stuff in latin about some guy called caesar it doesn't get exactly better: dictionary box thrown there, exercise book there...then there's the best: I have no place where to store the car magazine I'm subscribed to, which means that now on my night table there is a growing pile of magazines.
Then my mum cleans it out and I don't find anything after that.

Mike, it's your senility, you forgot who I was and all the fun I've poked at you.
As long as the door opens enough so it is possible to slip in/out it is ok. After that use window.

I'm probably one of the messiest people in the world. If I clean my desk up (once in a few months) its cluttered up after about 3 hours. I can't help it, stuff just accumulates randomly from unknown places.

I'm a hoarder and my "room" (a double garage!) is FULL of crap. I haven't tidied anything but my desk in 6 YEARS (!).

After a week of basically non-stop tidying it is DONE. All i need to do is clean up my desk and then i can move my bed down there - yay!
Clean? Whats that and how do i use it?

Well my room is very tidy...ish.
I live in a dump, I'll start thinking of hidi.. moving the roof-high pile of pizza boxes to the closet when the landlord comes to collect the rent ^^
haha, same here buddy.
I found a pizzabox under my sofa dated to 27 june 2007...
Yummi!!
My room is always tidied and cleanish, everything has its place and stays there (except when in use). I just hate not having space to put stuff when I want to use it. My documents are categorised and filed away, I sorted my mp3s by genre, and have detailed naming conventions for just about everything. Food waste always leaves my room the next time I do. Shoes are boxed and stacked away in cupboards. Almost nothing lives on my floor. I organise my pens and my clothes are stored away in order, sorted by type and then colour.

My mates used to taunt me by adjusting something on my shelf to a different position when I wasn't looking. It was back in place / turned back around the next time they came round. They found it quite amusing.

You're all making me feel weird(er).

Sounds like you are weird

I empty my ashtray when it's full (stops it catching fire you see), and empty my bin when no more cans will fit in. Clean clothes generally sit around until worn, and dirty ones collect on the floor and get dealt with once a week.

I used to be an 'everything has it's place' person...just can't be arsed anymore.
Quote from mrodgers :I come home and yell at the wife, "Why didn't you clean the house this time?!?!"

I get the samething. I'm not sure if I should have married suzy homemaker or lived with my mom forever instead being yelled at for not cleaning, painting or fixing everything.
