Yeah I know it's another computer thread, but hey - you guys like computers don't you?
The computer that my younger brother and my mum use has stopped working at all - it won't turn on and there is nothing going on inside, no LEDs, nothing. And before it died we smelled an electrical burning smell, plus melting plastic from somewhere so it looks pretty dead to me.
Because I'm no expert on computers, and my older brother won't have time to build them a custom PC I need to find a quick-fix that'll last about 4 years or more (yeah I know that's tough) for $600 - $900. It needs to be able to run games such as "Tiberium Wars" and "The Sims 2" at maximum graphics without much of a problem. The hard drive doesn't have to be big as neither of the users will be doing memory HD intensive things.
They already have a monitor, mouse and keyboard so they only need the big boxy thing filled with microchips and such.
For example, I was looking at something like this -

Thanks
Michael
PS, if you hadn't already noticed - it's not for me
