no its not about psp or iphone/pod
its just for a regular handy where i wanna put some of my fav music clips on (maybe also movies).
its the sony erricson k770i (dont think that matters but heh).

all the converters i found did convert it to mp4 but seems like the wrong one since it either didnt play at all or sound only.

any help appreciated.

Did you try streaming to a file using vlc?

what xaotik means (at least i guess so) is that you can use the built in streaming option from vlc to convert your file to mp4, attached a screenie.

xillisoft i think its called. tis awesome! can encode sound or video into pretty much anything. just converted 3gp to mp4 and amr to mp3

I usually use MediaCoder (which arco said). Free and very powerfull

mp4 is really only only a container, not a video format (think: box to put you video and audio streams inside). I think solution to your problem is finding out what video and audio formats your phone supports, rather than testing loads of soft, hoping that one of them accidentally creates a file that your phone likes.
