Quote from PaulC2K :well what a joke of a race that was!
Whats the point of sending out a pace car who:
1) Falls asleep
2) Slows everyone down then parks up midway round the track
3) Slows everyone down again, then drives straight off the track at T1
4) Slows everyone down again, then tells the person who's crashed to shift+s and then drives into the pits with the hazard lights still flashing?

Quote from PaulC2K :1hr spent messing about because of the disorganisation beforehand. We highlight theres only 21 people and were in 2 servers, who cares. Then with 2min left of qual its 'oh, lets all go into the same server'.

Well I Really ruined it. I will never sort a race again. Shouldnt have botherd

i wouldnt say that, take this as a learning curve
@ AW06

You didn't completely mess up the race. Some things just either didnt work out or some things were just wrong in the first place:
  1. The idea was great. I had a great time in my stint. (apart from failing once ) I'll certainly be doing more enduros in the future - thanks for getting me interested
  2. The rules were mostly good. When you're making rules, try not to make them up yourself, but take a leaf out of a Big League's book - see what their rules are and see which ones are relevant to your race, and modify those that are'nt. And make sure you stick to those rules in the race.
  3. When you're getting an SC driver, make sure you get one that knows what he's doing.
  4. The server crash was unfortunate
  5. Remember that always around 10-20% of people will not show up. You should've started on 1 server then gone onto 2 if there was too many people.

It wasn't all your fault.
I would blame those who didn't came even they have joined the event. Because of them AW06 had to merge the servers.

And what about the server crash? Technical problem. Probably a bug of some sort, because LFS.exe crashed.

Okay, there were something strange with SC. It didn't went to the pits. And about the RCM-messages: No need for those before the first SC deployement. Marshals communicated to individual racers using normal chat-messages (I said "You have a blue flag, let him overtake you" twice, for example).

Well, it didn't went well. But hey: Not everything is perfect.

1. true
2. I did i used the rules from IGTC and re worded them and etc.
3. I did although he didnt pay attention to race and me and another marshall had to stand in (2nd marshall controler died leading to the crash in T1)
4. Thats why i asked everyone to confirm and i wanted to make it about 16per server.

That was nothing to do with AW06, Nor me as a hoster. The LFS.exe had acutally crashed.
interesting race...........wonder i got sidelined right at the start,,as in taken off the grid...?
so dead last, but got up to 3rd, due to discos and hacked offf eloow racers!
touched some grass and spun, collected another car.soz for that , had another off and my car was dead.
sorry for the SC incident........tbh, i dont think many knew what was going on there.

Do you know what caused it? Never witnessed LFS.exe crash on server restart.
Well I pushed shift + j at the exact same time of the crash...

I don't know if it has anything to do with the crash though
Well that was my first proper race and despite being 10s (!) off the pace [I blame me using default setup] it was great fun.

The SC was kinda hilarious I have to admit, but it was great apart from that.

Well done...I enjoyed that until I crashed.

Quote from TG44 :Well I pushed shift + j at the exact same time of the crash...

Nope, because I didn't pressed anything. I was far far away to make coffee, so I didn't even touched my keyboard.
I got 3rd even though i crashed 1st lap and made a 30 second pitstop
Also, when I got beached, the SC rammed me back onto the track!! They should do that in F1 - make great tv!
Thank god its over. Im pretty pleased with my 4th place after that horrible race
Great little race. Clinched 2nd behind Banshee after the two Mercury guys left.

The [TG] boys was top entertainment with their name change chatting when going to swap driver, lightened the race up a bit for me as I was a lone ranger for the majority of the race.

Thanks AW06 for organising the event, the start qualifying was a bit well erm, rubbish but none the less it was a good little race.

I'm now going to have a well needed piss, stretch my legs and have a brew. Nice way to end a Sunday.

It was a fun 2h of time even though the race wasn't too great
Didnt get to race, only got to b there while the server got shut-off!

Hehe - that was my idea to bypass the no chat rule.

I really liked the:

[TG] Captain Slow: Driver change next lap Jack
[TG] Hammond renamed to [TG] Rodger

...Wouldn't it be easier to use Teamspeak? When you guys race endurance next time, just PM me and I will let you use my Teamspeak server.

Why would we do it the easy way?
First off, I enjoyed it greatly and would do it again. Much thanks to AWO6 for organizing. Despite any criticisms to follow, I very much appreciate everything you did to make this happen.
That being said:

The SC rules did not seem to work out as intended, and I'm not sure if anyone really understood what they were supposed to do when it was deployed. I know that for myself, I never came close to catching up to it, so it didn't seem to make a difference. (Aside from causing confusion)
If it was going to be used, I think there should have been and enforced pace lap whenever the SC had to come out. But better I think, would just be for the marshals to clear cars to Shift-P.

The no chat rule should have been strictly enforced from the beginning, especially in cases of name-calling. Either enforce the rule and spec chatters, or allow chat. Best approach in my opinion would be to warn chatters by name, once, then spectate them if it happens again.

I'm not sure what happened with the password after the server crash, but that was extremely frustrating, and probably didn't help the atmosphere of the race.

Above all, I think more communication was needed from the marshals when problems occurred.

As far as the qualification problems, I really don't think it mattered much as the field was pretty well sorted by the third lap.

Again though, I did enjoy the race very much, and hope there will be another. Thanks again!
Sorry that I ruined the race for you two, it had been going really well up until then .

The reason why I spun was because of MAJOR arse hang. The tyres had cooled down quite a bit after the pit stop, with a greater effect on handling that I had anticipated. As I went into the downhill right hander a bit before the bridge straight, the back stepped out quite a lot. I countersteered to try and keep going, but then the back of the car lurched round to the right, and then to the left again. By this point, I was helplessly sliding into the wall .
Quote from J@tko :[TG] Hammond renamed to [TG] Rodger

I first saw a quick glance of that one and thought it said todger.

It's a shame you 3 didn't have a Top Gear skin like the BMW they used in the 24 hour race, that would've topped it off nicely.
