Poll : Low frame rates with the recent ATI drivers?

Not me : I don't have an ATI card

Problem : I have an ATI card - Cat 5.12-5.13 drivers run LFS slower than 5.11

All OK : I have an ATI card but it doesn't matter which drivers i use

I also had a Radeon 9250 after my 9800pro had died (it was cheap and i thought it will do the job), but the 9250 card is really crap. I replaced the new 9250 with a old 9500 pro and even this old gfx-card is much faster than the 9250.
Well, 6.2 didn't help me.
Dell 3GHz HT
ATi X700 PCIE
2.5G RAM

After installing just the drivers, I got 75FPS (I use screen sync)... for a while. Then it tanked after playing for a little while. It would also slow way down and stutter for no apparent reason. I was getting 40-60FPS.
I tried the OMEGA drivers, and frankly, they were worse. I kept the tools installed for checking temps and all that, but if it is running, LFS will not start.
Anyway, I switched back to 5.11 and my frames are back to 60-75. This is with 4x AA and 16x AF, full quality settings.
Yea, I´m having similar issues as hallen here, the fps seems to be a bit higher than with the 5.11, but it starts to stutter after playing for 30mins or so.

But, I´m seriously thinking my GFX is braking down, not sure tho.

But, I didn´t have that stuttering with the 5.11, need to try those again to see the results, after I get home today.

does anybody know when the 6.2 OMega's are coming out?
Quote from neRu :
Cant read any bleedin' text!!

Disable temporal AA in CP or CCC or Traytools whatever.

or just set quality/performance slider to balanced and try it again.

Hope this helps
