Bit of help please
Okay, so now I have searched and searched and searched.. And I have given up, but I thought I might give it a try and ask.
Could anyone tell me how I can make a URL say something like "click me" or "this is it" or whatever? Instead of http://www.omgthislingissolong.com/wowthatsalinglink.html ?
Thanks for any help..

What Bio said An easy way to do this is to just type the word you want the link to have, for example "Click me", then you select that text and click on the button, then type the web address and voila, you have a cool link

Oh, and... wrong section

Or, write your message, highlight the text you want hyperlinked, click the button and input the URL there.

Hehe no problem, just take it easy and learn it with the button. After a while you'll feel confident enough to try it the "hardcore" way, typing the code yourself

Minus the quotations on the url, IIRC. Some forums use the quotations, I don't think this one does.
don't know what he did, but for me my version works. including the quotation marks.
Hmm.. I never use them. There was a forum where it did not work with the quotes, and another where it did not work without them.. Guess this one works both ways.
