The final choice is always yours, but if you ask me, and if you're interested in a 4 core CPU, i would go for the AMD X4 9850 Black Edition, in the same price range of the Q6600 (the difference is less than 10€, at least here) and slightly better. Unless you're a Intel fanboy, which is perfectly normal and comprehensible at the moment: Right now, the X4 9850 seems to be the only AMD serious threat to Intel's market dominance.

The rest of your computer looks good. The monitor could be a different one (Samsung and LG are brands that, in general, deserve a look about it) but that Acer handles the job no problem.
That PC is great for everything. I would have gone for a better brand of RAM, like the OCZ Reaeper RAM as they're really good for the price these days, but it shouldn't make a difference. Just make sure you're running a 64-bit OS if you plan to put all 4GB of RAM in your computer, I've had a very bad experience with 4GB of RAM on a 32-bit system.
Less on RAM and CPU, more on GPU. Unless you plan to do something that actually uses 4 cores, you will be better off with a dualcore. i'd say 150 for the CPU and 100 for RAM, 270 for the GPU. Or a better quality TFT.
An ATI 4850 would be a better option than the 9800gt for around the same price. Newer gen card too. I would get better ram if you plan on overclocking otherwise the Adata will be fine.

Isnt the ATI 4850 similar to the 9800GTX and it's cheaper then the 9800GTX
Your spec looks good to me mate, I recently built a similar system using the ABIT IP35 pro XE board, for a first time builder like me the Abit board was very easy to work with and using it's own uGuru windows program you can overclock easily if you wanted to play with it. I'm sure other boards are just as good though

Depends entirely if you're intending to overclock. At stock speeds the AMD might give the intel a run for it's money, but the Q6600 has an insane overclocking ceiling.

Yes, i know that. but since he said nothing about overclocking...
