Are people using my domain to send spam?
Checked my emails tonight and I've got 21 delivery failure/verify your email messages from all over the place, all replying to addresses at my domain that don't exist. I have my domain set to route all mail to a non-existent mailbox to come through to me anyway.

So I'm wondering, is this some sort of very elaborate hoax/spam to get these spam messages to me (all the mail being replied to were spam links), or is someone faking mail as being from my account to send spam? As if there's 21 failures, how many successful emails have been sent? Surely there are better domains to spoof with than mine?

I know spoofing the source address for an email is ridiculously easy and there's sod all I can do about it but.... what can I do about it?

I used to get this, too (back when I used my @Jakg.com email address) - I just thought it was an elaborate method of spam...
They're all to people at the Vehicle Analyser, might be just spam hoax...

Hope you get it sorted soon

RE:Hot chickz??

Yeah the person is putting your e-mail in the 'from' box, and its bouncing back to you.

Can't remember how, this was explained to me bit I was probably asleep.
They pick one of the addresses in their To list as the From address for a batch of emails. I used to get this a lot (although I also had the %0a exploit in php mail once too, I learned a sharp lesson that day!), funnier was the people who sent me abuse "back", you get to see how some people reply to spam! It's no wonder the spammers dont want the replies... Although few people did, I did get some real torrents. Proof that on the internet there is no such thing as valium.
