BTCC at Brands Hatch
I think this will be a good one as Brands usually is,

Giovanardi won twice here in March, and Turkington won race three
Jelley is on pole in the BMW
#3 - MR_B
I was so tempted to make the trip down there, but I'm not sure my 125 will make it that far without going bang!

Looking forward to the support races most...
yes! . And the Carrera Cup is being decided too.
Both the BTCC and Ginetta championships were decided in their first races of the day, with the Ginetta being the more entertaining of the two yet again!
That was the biggest crash in the BTCC I have seen in years, huge. Hope he is okay, looks like they are being really careful, wouldn't be suprised if he has some injuries after that.
He's OK and out of the car.
I'd have thought he'd at least be shaken! He's smiling, laughing, walking merrilly...

Reminiscent of that Grand-Am BMW crash (http://video.google.com/videop ... amp;q=bmw+crash&vt=lf)
I wached that one live. He, like John, was okay!

EDIT: Poor old Jones almost did the same as George!
Oil on Paddock Hill = about 6 cars in the gravel... eek!
Anyone got a video of the crash?
Well done Tom! Last win = 2005.

The General Lee - just check Youtube in a couple of days
At first I thought Turner (excuse the pun) turned across and hit him, but from that video you can see John George weaved across the track. I have to agree with a comment made on that video, a guy that started racing at 40 years old and has crashed out in just about every race, should not be in the BTCC...and that's saying something.
I dont understand how someone ( on your youtube link) has quoted George as FAST,
It is the second huge accident at that exact spot in BTCC from senseless car to car contact, only time before something like what happened at the Britcar race is caused by avoidable contact and there will have to be a pretty radical shake up of driving standards.
I can't see George weaving, he held his line straight on? The Seat driver was on a crash course from the start and didn't back off as he should be... Worse still, he turned in on George when they made contact to ensure George spins out! I hope Turner got severly punished for that...

Does someone need to die before they take a look at their appaling standards? The way it is now, it's only a matter of when...
