Quote from Jakg :When I was "working" today I did a quick check on the stock (found the SKU code - not listed on the website). Our store has 160 (but none are for sale - I might ask the manager what he's doing with them...), and the store up the road (Bury) has 164 - will call them pretending to be a customer and see if I can get some - if so i'll send my Mum / GF up with £1.64 and get some serious £! (although I may be nice and send out some for postage... )

I reckon it would take a while to sell 164 of them.

Steady eBay stream and then be nice and do a couple cheap for LFS Forum regulars....

I do still have 1,300 2.5mm jack headsets which I got off eBay for £3 + £7 for arranging a courier - must try selling them sometime!

(I also have 500 address labels made up for "MaxiDeal-UK", my failed eBay business - crap!)

It was set to local collection only - so no-one else bid.

I did, arranged my own courier (£7) to pick it up - job done!
got stacks of those in my store too.. Just before i started there i went in and picked one up (was one lying about around the gaming machines..) took it to till. they pointed me to the manager.. the manager said "have that with my compliments!" I said "thanks.. but i dont want your compliments.. the game will do nicely" he laughed (luckily!)

Might have a word with one of the nicer managers in my place to see if i can get a few.
Went to my local shop in Inverness (I say local, it was a 50/60 mile round trip :shrug but they didn't have any in, never had. DAMN
I'd take a copy if I had a way of getting to my local PC World.

Jakg/franky500, any chance of a Paypal exchange?
Quote from sam93 :It doesn't come with a serial number, just install it and away you go, why dont you go and get one?

I'm still not convinced it is the full version of rF. Have you installed new cars and tracks? To me it just sounds like an updated version of the demo which hasn't been activated (the serial code) online, which is required to unlock the full version.
That wouldn't make much sense as a bundle deal on a new PC though. Why would you spend £500+ on a computer and then pay £1 for something you could download in a few minutes.
It's on a DVD too, surely the rF demo is that big it'd need a full DVD.

Yeah +1 for me too........pretty please.
The rF demo that came with my G25 is the full game, just locked to the demo (much like LFS). When I bought it I just got a serial code (I think...that was nearly a year ago, and I only had to do it once)

I haven't even tried going online in it yet though, so no idea how that activates

Yup, same. Cheap gits couldn't give us a game worth like £5.. >_>

The standard demo is the full game, which is borderline on filling a CD, with a few extras it easily could need a DVD. There has been a 'lite' version released recently though which is a much smaller download without the (all rubbish) standard content.
They should ship that game for free. Rfactor demo was so retarted.
so, is this a demo version, or not?

Cause frankly for a penny id 'buy' it, but no more...

I didn't dare to ask you if you found me a copy yet

Sorry - Will get on it

I have downloaded different tracks using the game from PC World, downloaded Singapore and it worked, I reckon it is the full version.

Called PC World Bury and while they would give me one for free, they said it would only be with a purchase - even something as cheap as a pen would do, but it'd need to be one purchase per game.

That would be fine if anything was free though - nothing can be free on the stock system so they would actually charge me full price (1p!) for it :P

For anyone wanting to know.

Full name "INTEL FREE GAME WITH LAPTOP/PC"

SKU Code "923228" (although she said this didn't exist although I checked it myself at work and it did).

Will try to nab a few from work for free when talking to the manager but it seems I can't get 100 million copies now
