Add Some Parameters To Configuration
I think there are a couple of things missing from the local LFS configuration file (or perhaps the interface configuration file) which would be a welcome addition:
  • Add the "Show Results" status (Yes / No / Auto) to the configuration. At the moment you have to Ctrl+Tab every time you use LFS to get Show Results however you want it, if you don't want the default.
  • Add the Driver and Fuel (In / Out) from the setup screen to the configuration. At the moment if you want to see the result of adjustments with the driver and fuel in you have to toggle them to In every time you enter the garage.
I understand your point of view, but I think these configurations are there to be changed quickly, because you don't necessarily want them to be on or off forever.

For instance, people like to be able to show or hide results by just pressing a short-cut. If you don't usually want them up, but would like to see something in the result, you just have to press ctrl+tab and you can see it and switch it off right away.

Same thing with the driver in/out option. Depending on the setup you're doing, you might want to toggle or not the fuel and driver weight.

However, I agree that those are options which could be both in the setup menu and accessible by short-cut.

That option was removed by Scawen in 2007, but:
Quote from scawen :Just letting you know in advance, I found that the "/ctrl tab" command didn't work. I've fixed that now, so in the next patch you'll be able to add a single line "ctrl tab" to your autoexec.lfs and that will make it go to permanent display mode as soon as you start LFS.

I've also change the order so it goes no-auto-yes. That means you'll only need one ctrl tab line.

In case you don't know already, the autoexec.lfs script is run once when you first get to the entry screen. So you can add any /commands to that file.
