Directly after the show (or untill the newspapers started reporting it, I can't remember which,) the BBC had 3 complaints. Then the Daily Mail got hold of it, and the 30,000 complaints bollocks ensued...
I may be wrong with my above statement, but what is definately true is that this is plain stupid.
She probrably had that view because the Sun paid her a lot to do so.
I bet Brand is laughing now, as for Ross, well he's less lucky. I wonder if the media will do an about turn and build these two rogues up again?
I'd actaully love for something like this to happen, the problem is in this country people complain about small matters that are easy to understand/ change (sack a few people here and there, have a few lawsuites and all is well), but the media/ people don't dare complain or take action against the actually serious problems this country has, one of them being our stupid, overblown Tabloid culture and Political Correctness obsession.
The govt takes action due to the minorty of loud mouth idiots just to convince us its actually doing something good, why not tackle the genuine problems instead of introducing ineffective policies and condemning/ firing people?
With democracy I know your supposed to let everyone have a say, but perhaps they should start compiling an 'ignorance list' banning such loud, ignorant people from having the priviledge of getting listened to or having a vote (they'd probrably would all vote for the BNP anyway).
Meh she just wants (needs) more publicity. Apparently at her Swansea gig the other day a whole 30 people turned up only to be unimpressed by the 'performance'. GG @ PR.
In this country, sleeping with a celebrity will get you perhaps over a week of coverage, while displaying bravery good enough to earn you a VC in some stupid far away war will perhaps get you one 3 minute feature by the BBC at best, t'is worrying to see that these kind of people (a dancing prostitute basically), get so much attention.
I don't really read the papers, so I can't make a judgement, but from what I've heard from just about everyone else, the Daily Mail is conservative bordering on Nazi.
There is bound to be confusion when the name of something fails to inform people about what it actually does. They should have called them "Murdering Innocent People because Hitler Has Daddy Issues Camps", and the Daily Mail should be called "Made Up Bullshit To Keep Racist Skinheads Angry at the BBC and Government".
