Replays really confuse me
Ok, i know there is MPR and SPR if i am correct MPR is multiplayer replays and SPR single, if thats the case how come when i press 2 online to save replay it classes it as a SPR, is 2 the wrong button to press, also pressing 2 saves all the footage from when you started in that server is there a way to turn the replay on/off before you do/try something, also Analyze for speed requires replays to be RAF files... you can probably tell this really confuses me, can some one with a bit of experience give a quick tut on replays..... CHEEEEEEEEERS!

pressing 2 after a race in multiplayer does save as a .mpr. well, it is supposed to anyway!

Correct

impossible. Online it would save an .mpr file. I believe "2" is the correct keystroke, but not sure. I autosave all mine (in the "game" options I think).

Only thing you can do is cut it short by pressing "2" earlier. You can't select it to turn on when you want. Once you save a replay, then you can't save anymore until the next race. Autosave will save it when you leave the server or when the race restarts, so you also end up with all the after race action saved as well.

You get RAF files from SPR's only. When you view an SPR, then you can hit "escape" and select to save the next lap. It will save that lap as a RAF file. Another program you can search for is "F1perf.exe" I think it is called. This gives you way more than just an overview of the track. You can compare a ton of info between 2 laps such as % on full throttle, % braking, lines, I can't remember what else. Here's links to 2 pics of some of the info you can get from F1perf. Very handy to compare 2 of your laps or your lap to a WR or other racer. Again, this uses RAF files and only works with SPR's

But Analyze speed is to compare your driving with anothers it would have to be mpr surely?
No, it uses 1 (or more) SPRs.
Whoops, I can see why you'd be confused. NotanIllusion is right. You save a .RAF file from separate SPR replays and load each into AnalyseforSpeed or F1Perf as well.
that's right. Then when you open AnalyzeForSpeed you OPEN the first raf and then ADD the second to compare to. You'll see the open and add replay command under the File menu. Just browse to the raf files you want to open.
