Italy's Max Papis has finally found a ride in NASCAR. With recent removal of several international drivers from NASCAR (Franchitti, Carpentier, Jourdain (2006), Fittipaldi (2003), Fukuyama (2002) and Villeneuve) Papis finally adds his name to the NASCAR international drivers list.

Papis has been very unimpressive in sprint cup (as his debut was suppose to be this weekend but failed to qualify) but I hope he has a successful run next year and it'll lead to a full time ride.

Hasn't he raced in Cup already? I'm almost positive I have a picture of him talking to the media outside the infield care center after he crashed at Watkins Glen this year.

Ya he has, he was involved in that Watkins Glen pileup and took over for Johnny Sauter at Sonoma. At first I thought the deal with Tony Stewart destroyed Papis' chance to get into NASCAR but evidently he found another ride

he has also raced in busch for rusty wallace racing #64 on road courses (he was at montreal during that rain race)
