I used to cruise... until I realised how much of a waste of time it was. I think its just addictive, you see guys driving around in faster cars and you think "OMG THOSE GUYZ R PR0" and devote your life to be able to drive them.

Then you go to a real server.

I can see why a lot of people would enjoy it, mainly because i used to enjoy it myself, so I have nothing against it at all.

You say that, but I guess people could say that Live For Speed or just playing computer games is a waste of time.

I wouldn't say that, but its certainly not a good use of my time while I have exams to be not revising for.

Back to topic: So I am a racer AND a cruiser I can say both is fun at its time.

CTRA racing is really exciting and hard work at many times.

Cruising at CLC is relaxing, cooldown and just having many ways to act,

depending on the mood you are. Having cruises with trains of at least 4-5

cars or having some nice chases with cops (or as cops ).Trying to get

people flipped back on wheels after crashs, getting them safe back to pits

then, so many ways to have fun.

CTRA is not hard work, if you consider it hard, I suggest you try [CD] or some other well known server, where there is actually driving skill being displayed. Only the odd CTRA GTR/UFBabyR/Race3(?) requires any sort of skill whatsoever. CLC is where you go to waste your evening playing LFS.

Now I'm not one to judge people, after all, I don't care what you do on LFS. Cruise, drift, race, idc. But what people need to realise is that what may be 'fun' to you (although I fail to see how driving round a stupidly long GT track, at 60mph for those all important £250 is fun..:really, may not be fun to someone else. :o

I was going to let you get your own way, but i couldn't resist replying as I'm terribley bored.

(1)The fact you have just said that to me actually made me laugh.
(2)How can you say that after i have LISTED the amount of things you can do? It's total bull... so yes, do SH, please, I was pretty sure LTC was more eventful than that, but if you say so then you need to try a good cruise server.
(3)If you don't have a CLUE what you're talking about then there isn't a point in posting.

(2) I've been on and off LTC since the beggining, I used to cruise alot until I got terribly bored. I was on CLC alot before then, up until they reset their databases and lost all my cars/money. Nothing ever happens on cruise servers. You drive round the same track in the same car for 345749 laps just to get a bonus, with which to buy other cars to do the same. I play LFS to race, if I wanted to cruise I'd play NFS:U2/MW/Carbon or Midnight Club : LA. As I said, cruising may be 'fun' to some of you (hate to generalise but it tends to be people who can't actually race), but it is not fun to me.

As I said, generalisations are just those. Not concrete, not 100%, but the majority. Which is true, ask most of the people on cruise servers to race you and they'll be like "Yeh i race u round here with space thruster barriers 'cuz i cant race on track yo"

As said before, I wouldn't try to 'stop' people doing whatever they want. Obviously not everyone fits into the same box, and could never be expected to. However, when some people *cough* try to force the view that cruising is 'fun' upon everyone else, I have to stand up and protest.

How can you say that when you are obviously clueless? It's actually quite rediculous, and amusing. If i'm telling you that there's other stuff to do, and you quite blatently aren't a cruiser (or whatever you're blabbling on about) how can you say that there's only THIS or THAT to do?

Don't expect an answer from S14 as you seem to keep RANDOMLY putting words in capital letters.

I did not find the list of things you could do. You seem to have no clue, and been brainwashed by the cruise authorities (maybe they promised to allow you drive the FOX if you were defending them ? ).

Speaking of things to do, where are the acheivements you speak about ? Cruising slowly with the UF1 at 40mph though a track to get bonus, for 12.000.000 laps, to gather enough money to buy the dreaded FZR? And then pop up in joy. (Pretty much like this video : http://www.kamazutra.be/video-106.wow.html Nothing sexual here, just a guy reaching level 60 in WoW). Then asking ourself : what's next ? The guy can't drive the FZR, as he is used to the UF1, and be passed by a guy in the XRG... lame.

Meanwhile, for the same amount of time spent on a cruise server, you could have started hotlapping with the FZR for no time investment, and with the same amount of time, you might have gotten a WR by now...

Yes, that's the name. It's fine, I guess. 4-4-4-12 timings and it was cheap as shit

(Will be upgrading to 2x2gb of 800mhz later though, I cannot use all 4 slots as I broke a clip on one of my ram stick holders-_-)
