Why don't you give it a shot. Skinning isn't that hard, and the Dukes of Hazzard car is a nice simple one to start with.

Or you could try getting other people to do your work for you, which won't exactly encourage members to join "Boss Hogg and Daisy Dukes Slow Demo Team".

Rendering? Now thats a different kettle of fish. It'll take weeks of learning to make anything half decent. Skinning is paint shop pro or photoshop or (free) gimp. Rendering a 3D model with lighting, reflections and what have you is 3DS Max (usually) and is harder in many ways.

Start with skinning. Later move on to rendering.

And there is ALREADY a thread on having skins rendered, you don't need to make your own.

Faster, I don't see why you can't make this yourself. Or at least try.

However, I'm a nice guy (don't believe what other people tell you about me, it's all lies ), so I made a skin. Here is a render of it.

The next question is, do I post the skin? I tempted to say 'make it yourself', because you'll learn a lot, and you'll love the skin a whole lot more if it's your own work. But I'm nice, and I'll probably end up posting it for you anyway at some point. Then you can pay for me to come to s****horpe, buy me a pint, and pay me to go home again

kind of an odd car to turn into a general lee illepall

Almost every car has had the General Lee treatment at some point, suitable or not.... it's always painful to watch, and usually the work of 'tards.

I'll make an obvious exception in Tristan's case since he was acting on a request, but it appears he treated it with the disdain it desverved.

Please no more Genral Lee skins....it's about as imaginative as painting something other than an XRT black and calling it "Kit" ffs...

Guess there really is a reason why the acronym for Dukes of Hazzard comes out DOH....
