Can I rename a skin, for example, i've got an XRG skin named XRG_example, and i change it to XRT_example will it still work for the XR GT Turbo??

Working isn't a very precise word in this sense.

The file will work, and basic elements will be okay, but there will be a few problems with the placement and alignement of a few things. Nothing as major as (ex) FO8 and BF1, but still. It will be far from perfect, but anyways.

It's possible but wont be perfect. If your skin has the grey default background behind the cars then the XRT's spoiler will be grey. It's because of the fact that the XRG's skin mapping does not include XRT's spoiler. I just draw it in if I am editing.

Decals or graphics placed on the side skirts won't match up exactly either.

The wheel arches on the XRT are slightly bigger too.
