Test Patch Z3 - online compatible (no VW)
WARNING : THIS IS A TEST

NOTE : THE VW SCIROCCO IS NOT INCLUDED

Hello Racers, here is a new Test Patch : Z3.

It is fully online compatible with version Z.
You can view hotlap replays made in version Z.

ABS brakes have been added to 6 cars (as a setup option) so for now you cannot upload hotlaps made in Z3.

Although the list of changes is short, there are a lot of internal changes and optimisations.
So you should probably keep a backup of your LFS.exe from version Z.

Changes in TEST PATCH Z3 :

Updated wheels on Formula BMW
Implemented ABS brakes in XFG / XRG / RB4 / FXO / XRT / FZ5
Improved wheel drawing system including rotating brake discs
Improved shadows - sharper and ambient shadow effect now included
InSim : New packets to start / search replays and take screenshots
FIX : Player name was wrong in entry screen on entry or after replay
FIX : Added checks to prevent guests joining with no user name or ID
FIX : OOS starting race after joining autocross host in entry screen

um... YEAH
Woohoo! I wanted all these things so much more than the VWS!
Wow, new brakes on road cars are great! (almost) No locking!

Did i read shadows...oh well, i need new pants anyway.

/OT

Will post reports in this post later on.
ABS for those road cars? For me those cars, except FZ50, are more like early 90s or late 80s sporty road cars and those cars didn't have ABS. Not that it matters if you can turn it off but it seems a bit odd . Does theABS work like a racing ABS or is it like an ABS found in road cars (with "slower" computer and less allowance for slip). EDIT: I hope it isn't some ABS which takes it data directly from the physics and allows perfect braking at peak grip at all times... :/

Doesn't RAC have ABS?
Why do the tyres just-so-happen to turn orange when braking?

So we're going to get ABS O.o... ohh.... i can already imagine all that fuzz made by those "in-racing-there-is-no-abs-and-no-helping-aids" fans .

Edit. ABS working great . Looks real ^^.Shadows nicer and wheels... emm.. i mean all that stuff about wheels... umm... yeah better... whatever ^^. Good that You did wrote about "no VW" :P
As i excepted... I cannot see gauges in car ,rubber , textures sometimes going crazy like in viewer( i reported that). My graphics card is nV FX5700, i think thats the problem

BUG?

About to report that too.

Kicks whenever you try and use XFG.

Host is on Z Patch. User on Z3.

What does this mean?

It now hasnt got only the sharp shavow from the sun, but also the "blurred black" shadow onder the car generated even without direct sunlight.
IMO
Thanks!
