You know, I'm shocked how many open minded people there are here willing to try drifting. It makes you wonder where the animosity comes from, but I guess it's from either other people or misunderstandings of text based communication...

Isn't it beautiful...
it is *tear*

thanks for the interest guys!
Hey guys, great idea!

I'd like to give it a go

BRT-David- [RTDC]David
Ill give this ago.
I drifted in demo mainly, but raced mainly in S2 so this could b fun =)
not in a team just called noobie - greboth , so guess ill b [rtdc]greboth

edit: is there anyway to get times when this would happen? like what days / times? Or is it just luck if the server is running?
well i am trying to get once-a-week lesson sessions, and possibly (it's a stretch though) a dedicated server for RTDC where you can pop in at any time and chill/drift/whatever you want. if not that, then i will try to get a server up and running and i guess it will be luck if the server is on and you happen to see it.
I've got a server on a line at work that I *may* beable to run a server on. Its under varying load so I cant make many promises. I'll watch its usage over the next night or two and see if I can pull something out of the bag.
OMG, so much people want to learn how to drift??? This is fabuolus. Even though the small S1 comunity (which i sadly wasn't part of, missed it time-wise) had very few **** drifters and the average skill was very high, this is still great. Drifting in LFS is evolving and as a part time racer (and almost full time drifter) it's wonderful for racers to be interested in your 'discipline' It feels great to be the master and the racing masters to be the [star wars]padawans [/star wars].

EDIT: BTW, i'm Kei Office PIPI
Just you wait. I'll start my own club in a few months - drifters trying racing club. We'll do 6 hour races with no driver changes, and if anyone gets even a slight slide in the entire race I'll come round with a smelly haddock and break your nose with it (in a variety of comedy ways)
[etals:] Wow guys, very impressed at the positive side of all this.
Kudos to RevMonkey for the initiative. LFS can be enjoyed on many
levels and i think this is just one of these 'levels'. Btw Tristan, you'll
soon need new rear tires on that Miata....lol

Now let's all hold hands and sing "kumbaya my lord..."
lovely! I wonder how a racer who is used to a GTR car be able to stay awake on a XRT lol

i'm just kidding... fun to hear that you guys are open-minded. I'm currently in my "retired"-mode so I won't be able to "tutor" you guys.

Tristan, nice idea also of a drifter-gripping-occasionally-kinda-club. Man! we'll finish the tires in no time!

I'll let you into a secret - no roundabout is safe when I'm in the Mazda. And my rear tyres are already pretty slick. And they're the cheapest, hardest, least grippy things I could find so that I could have more fun!

But only when I know it's safe to do so, i.e. safe for other people.
I'll help you and Sam out whenever needed Rev. Just let me know, but better off contacting me on torque, I'm barely ever on this forum.
I got some drift setups from LFS-Torque.net so i'm away to try 'em offline for a start

Thank god there is so much water between your place and my place! :P
Beware, tristan said his tyres are already balding - that increases aquaplaning capability tenfold
Nice to see so many names in here, think I'll give this a go
[rtdc] Rob
Plz
Well, sounds like fun, and if I learn at least one thing about balancing the cars, it's a success for me...

I'll take my usual name, as I'm not in any team... Do I have to put [rtdc] in front of my nick? I'm a bit lazy to change it every time...
okay, list updated rob.

bbman, just create a new player profile, then when you go into 'drift mode' you can change your name with a click
Rob if you have any questions, bug me on IRC. Yeah, i'm PIPI thre

Tristan i'm up for the club. But throw out the no-slide rule illepall I slide quite often in my FXR
btw, what's the IRC channel?
#46 - Jakg
hmmmm, well i can drift about as well as i can drive, so im up for it

[rtdc] Retarded Muffin

Anyone up for some lfs tonight, just practice drifting around..?
just to make it known to you drifters, yes, i am planning to make a [DTRC] depending on how well this one runs. eventually i might run both programs.
