On the other hand, snow would much easier to implement, as it's more of a solid material than water would be. No need to program how it behaves when it drains in puddles, gets thrown away by a tire and then drains back, etc, etc...
Can't understand why everyone's against the idea of snow on tarmac

that happens in real world, doesn't it? No need to be driving formulas on snowy tracks - but can't see anything wrong with road cars...

+1
'cause they don't race on snow. LFS is a racing simulator, not a 'driving simulator'

It is and you say rally isnt racing?
Rally isn't the 'point' of LFS, though.

I know but stil it needs to better!!

You're not a developer, you don't know the "point" of LFS either

I was under the impression that they wanted to cover as many areas of motorsport as possible. Rally would need to be set up in a different way to make multiplayer interesting (far shorter gaps between starts, etc) but there's no reason that LFS shouldn't have it.
It might not rival RBR in terms of the ultimate rally driving experience, but it should still be included if possible. It's not like physics change depending on what style of racing you're taking part in
Snow on racetrack would be rather stupid, races aren't driven in snow. I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun, but I get already at least enough driving in snow IRL.

Snowy rallystages would be a different thing then, tho we would need proper spike tires then too. Still proper gravel rally owns snow rallying I think.
Delete your DDS folder, then you get "snow". Oh well, everything will be white at least.
Snow would be cleared off before a regular circuit race, but only off the tarmac/kerbs and even then there's the possibility of wet areas or ice if it's still really cold. And of course, people who came off the track would have a much harder time getting back on in a couple of inches of snow than they would on regular grass.

And what if the snow was still falling? You can't have someone clearing the track while there's a race going on, so you would get the odd drift here and there, depending on the wind. So it definitely has a place, even outside of rallying
I dunno, but I have never heard that a race would been driven in such a bad conditions.

And what is racing? its driving isint it ?

What is wrecking? It's driving isn't it?

Wrecking in my experience is when a car gets crushed or something

Following that analogy, ovals should be made more interesting (also right hand turns, etc) too.
