(But yeah dadge I get your point, however plenty of Eastern European people can manage English fine, most NL people can speak English better than most English people, being taught it throughout schooling )
"Compared with you and me" - correct
"Compared with you and I" - incorrect
"We are not spammers" - correct
It's correct when you can take out the "you and", and it still reads correctly.. but "compared with I" doesn't work. "You and I are not spammers" doesn't work, because "I are not a spammer". i.e. failage.
What you can do is add a contextual "you and I".. for example "You and I; we are not spammers." or "We (you and I) are not spammers".

yeah, dater of a wucks back m8. about the not knowing what the shift keys does. i do know how to use it, i just don't. i do use uppercase in every other day to day activites. except forum posting. no idea why, i just don't bother with it.
as long as the reader understands what i am saying, then my attempt at communication has been a success.
talking about grammer on a forum is a big no no in my book. the post you need to make has to be perfectly written or else someone will pull you about it, as this thread has shown.
I don't think so, directly. I think you have to use "us" and then add qualifiers.

I do have pet hates, though. "Should of" drives me up the wall. "Different to", or "different than", a little less so. Even though "different than" can be used in some circumstances, it never seems to be in the right way. Things are "different FROM" each other. To me, "different to" sounds as bad as "on accident" (instead of "BY accident", "ON purpose") which in 5 years I never managed to completely beat out of my American step-kids
Not gonna lie, but that ban was the first one I've seen that was truly warranted. That was the least humane and considerate thing I've ever read, and I read what I say quite often.
I just remember 1 single topic lerts joined witch he didn't create and whent off topic in.
That's more than we can say about most of the other members here.
