Intake/Weight Ballast handicap class ideas thread
Hi all,
Even though we already have some "intake-restricted" classes like UFBR and the CTRA GT2's, I wonder if there are any other class ideas to throw around. Thus, I'll state my own first:

Super TBO
Cars used:
XF GTR (4% intake, 100 kg ballast, 218 bhp, 940 kgs)
FZ50 GTR (39% intake, 36 kg ballast, 232 bhp, 1136 kgs)
XR GTR (45% intake, 123 kg ballast, 250 bhp, 1223 kgs)
FXO GTR (46% intake, 110 kg ballast, 245 bhp, 1210 kgs)

The class idea is to bring the GTR's down to TBO-level power/weight ratios and weight similar to TBO class cars. I always wondered what the TBO cars would be like with only slicks and downforce added, so I think this is a nice solution. I find the CTRA-GT2 setup to be too powerful to be closely related to STBO.
I don't think that CTRA's main aim with the GT2 was to create an "STBO" class, it was more a way to make people improve themselves for the GT1 class.
TBO class + slicks = snoozefest

Next bad idea?

MRT with rallycross tyres?
50 laps of BL rally driving the UF-BR...

(yes, it's quite possible to drive it on the dirt in a reasonable manner)

((i tried FB rally, but there's a couple corners that it just can't take properly))

Balanced TBO
Cars used:
FXO: 3% intake restriction
XRT: No restrictions
RB4: No restrictions

The class idea is to balance TBO so all cars would be closer in terms of speed.
Commie Class
UF1 with 40% intake restriction (~20hp).

Rather like a Trabant, except with the horrors of capitalism such as non-leaky doors. Well, we all know about British Leyland's industrial relations

(It is good fun on certain shorter tracks like FE Club and AS Cadet, just NOT fast!)

As used on most TBO servers now!

I think that a "TBO+" class would be a good idea, with roughly 50 to 60bhp over their TBO counterparts, EG the XRT would go to approx 325bhp, which is comparable to a Supra, RX7 etc..

Combine with the downforce and it should be fun, I think.

the XRR in my GT-M series is 303bhp.

Actually, weren't Japanese sports cars restricted to 276 bhp in the 90's or something?
I think that was more of a gentlemen's agreement, much like the 300 kmh limit on sportbikes.
