GH:WT is compatible with RB2, and vice-versa. but other versions aren't, although there are a couple of exceptions that i can't rememeber right now. WT and RB2 are the fully compatible ones though.
very nice indeed that could be alot more fun than gh guitar, but i think ill just sick with the drums. But, i think thats gonna come pretty expensive? if i got the point that game is played by a real guitar, and those cost pretty damn much
Cashgate: i think the rock band drums will not work on guitar hero? if i know right there is 4 pads+pedal on rock band and in gh theres 5 pads+pedal
I've only played GH3 briefly, but I like that with RB2 you get to use the songs from RB1 as well. Means a more interesting back catalogue and a good PR move by EA.
And Guitar Rising isn't likely to happen. Not sure how that'd work anyway, and people who play guitar can already play along with songs by... playing a song. And website hasn't had an update this year, which doesn't bode well.
i think the drums are a little different, i say that if you learnt to play songs in gh at expert i bet you can do pretty good on real drums too. the positioning is a bit different, but doesnt tike time to learn in rl drums where everything is. The only thing that makes the drums alot easyer to play is that you dont actually have to remember anything. you can pretty much just go and play a new song in gh without that much practise, but in rl its alot harder to remember when you had to do what and so
