not a great thread title but what I mean is for people who have a hat stick or d-pad on whatever controller they use, it would be nice to be able to see different exterior views at the press of a button. for people who use xbox or ps2 controllers the second stick could be used to rotate the view around the car like in forza.

did that make any sense?

yea sounds cool, as far as i know you can do it with in car view because the stick is an axis and u can assign it to an axis ingame (look axis) but an exterior one would be great so i can have my G25 and ps3 controller.

You can already do this, but it's not in game by default.

You can setup a custom camera view options menu to get the view you want, then if you want more views and have them assigned to a button there's a third party tool I believed called CamHack that lets you set up to 5 different custom views - all recallable via a keypress, you can then bind those keypresses to controller buttons.
