Quote from LFSn00b :That will run LFS for sure

apart from I recall that you can get that kind of a pre-built rig here for 1100 euros but it has a GTX 260 896mb

Not really for LFS. He want's it for much for modern games which require alot of power, like Crysis, GTA IV etc.

Quote from Forbin :LGA1366 is a bad buy right now. Go with LGA1156.

I'm sure you could build a superior system for less than that. Performance-oriented pre-built systems are invariably overpriced. I wouldn't bother with SLI either.

Would you say SLi is not a good call then? I only selected it due to him wanting to run very up to date games at the highest possible, so i guessed he might need some more video memory. I have SLi on my rig and it sure does help!

You can usually get about the same performance plus better compatibility for about the same money with a single card.

If I were building a system for someone else, I wouldn't even consider it. Keep things simple.
Quote from Nathan_French_14 :That's a pretty good site! How about this spec? Comes to £1300 INC. VAT.[

For that budget I'd get this:

Plus three 22" monitors and a second graphics card to run the 3rd screen. This second card can be just a tiny one, like a £25 Radeon 4350, as it's not doing any graphics processing, just outputting an image. If you're not feeling that extravagent (although I heartly reccomend it - I'd never go back to less than 3 screens now) then get a big single screen, 27" ones can be had for around £300.
