Last week i got a letter saying the account had been brought up as unusual activity so i phoned and confirmed it was me. But they still wanted to cancel the card. Saying someone had my details (which is bs cos their stupid system cancels the card automatically if it see's unusual activity)

Now i get a letter today saying that i will get my new card within this week but my old one has been marked as stolen.

I think it was because of paypal because i had 5 transactions go through in the space of a day and 10 within the week.

What I want to know is what if I get the new card and it happens again, because its nothing on my pc because ive scanned it and its come back clean. So it must be something like paypal.
I had this problem with Halifax (it was my dads card, yes I had permission!) He ran an ebay account off it so had a continuous income/outcome on the card. I had a recurring subscription set up for a website & it had been going fine until one day the card was flagged as "Unusual activity", paypal wouldn't let us continue using the card so had to get a new one.

No idea if this helps, but you're not alone!
Lloyds TSB are better
my dad works for them so thats why
Its better to be safe than sorry when it comes to money IMO, I am sure you'd be pissed off if someone did have your details and took some money from your account without the bank flagging it as suspicious.

It happened to my missus with Barclays, someone, somehow, had managed to get her card details and used it the other side of the country, luckly Barclays flagged it as suspicous and she didn't lose any money.
Well the thing is the letter said they'd been trying to contact me by phone for a week (never had any phone calls from them) so if someone did have my details then they must have been the wierdest card theive's ever to not take any money at all out of my account.
