My advice would be to see him live. I did, and he was very impressive. By it's very nature, this won't be his most impressive show/series.

I wasn't affected but I do believe something was up whatever it was, he did say at the beginning that it won't affect us all, and it only affected about 50% of people in the cinema so it would have been even less at home

I don't think the actual film played a great deal in it though, it was the stuff before that.

I don't think his "tricks" are supposed to work in the first place.

I read some interesting article he wrote about probabilistic tricks. A most awesome trick that had low probability of succeeding, followed by a sequence of easier tricks. The audience never noticed where the first tricks failed, and when they noticed he had prepared nice counter ticks (like having answer B painted on his chest when he guessed answer A etc.)
