So, who went this year?

One of my good friends has been competing in the 205 cup this year (Probarly the best stepping stone for serious rallying) and if he finished in the top 12 at this years event he would win the 205 cup amongst some other things but i'm not really sure what he could actually win in the first place.

His name is John MacCrone and his co-driver is his uncle, Peter MacCrone for those of you interested in rallying, you might of heard of them. He finished 8th this weekend (I think) after snapping a gear linkage in the 3rd stage we didn't think he'd done enough to win the 205 cup with 2 more rounds to come, but after a good last 2 stages he rolled home with a slightly bruised car....Luckily the broken bumper was just the result of how hard he was pushing and not a mistake.

John started rallying when he was 17, he's now only 20 and has won his first major championship, his little brother Alasdair is also following in his footsteps starting off in the same corsa as his brother, driving for this little team.... http://www.bearcubrallysport.co.uk/

Some of you may know Alasdair better as "Banister"..

Next weekend is the Tunnocks Tour of Mull, where John finished 13th last year in his standard engine 1.6 205 (The cars engine can't be modified for the 205 challenge) and this year will be driving a Civic Type R, 240bhp...?

Good save in that vid!
Vroom vroom!
will be their next year in the 106
Love the Isle Of Mull as a place, but also the fact the whole thing is used for Rallying is fantastic, sadly I was never on the Isle Of Mull at the time of the Rally, but I do always remember the roads that the stages are on.
