Hello everyone. Due to some interest, I have made dedicated pages on Twitter and Facebook for iDrift. Please follow me on Twitter and join the Facebook page. Now you won't miss a thing, and you will be up-to-date on the iDrift news! For those who want, there is also a RSS feed.
Got some news about the competition I am working on. I got some mates which I work together with, but I hardly got any time for LFS for the next ten weeks due to an internship I got for school.
2010 Was a great year for team iDrift. We have grown quite a lot over the year, and we had loads of fun. This wasn't possible thanks to all the members that are dedicated to the team, and all the visitors that keep visiting our server and site. We have met a lot of nice, friendly and good-drifting people this year, and we had loads of fun. For that, we thank you! And may we have just as many, or even more fun next year!
I have promised it before, but this time it should really happen soon; the first iDrift event(s). I have been working on some plans, and hopefully at the start of 2011 the events will be ready. iDrift has been changed a lot this year. We got an awesome sponsorship with Fanatec, one of the best wheel manufacturers, got many new members, uploaded loads of awesome screenshots on the site, we got our own newsletter and many site and forum upgrades including a fresh and new look for both.
The good news doesn't end there! No, because iDrift is almost two years old! That's right, on January 1st, team iDrift will be two years old. Therefore I'd like to organize a little celebration then. More information about that soon.
Finally, I'd like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year. We hope you enjoy the last few days of the month, and that you enjoy the new year. As a present from us, we cancelled the training on Saturday the 25th of December. Because we want you to enjoy Christmas & New Year with your family and loved ones, not on LFS. The normal training schedule will resume on Wednesday the 5th of January 2011! Make sure you're there to wish everyone a good new year, and have some fun on the first training of 2011!
Today is a good day. It’s the first day of 2011 (1.1.11), but it’s also the day that iDrift was founded two years ago. We’ve had much fun in these two years. We’ve recruited some great people, but of course lost some great people. The team has seen it’s good days, but also it’s bad days. But we constantly kept working, and kept going strong! For that I’d like to thank everyone that visited us, and helped us, and may this year be a good year for team iDrift.
To celebrate this I will soon host an event for everyone that would like to come. The event will consist of the normal things. People will go head-to-head in a twin drift, until someone wins. I can’t say a date yet because the idea is not completely finished, but more information will follow somewhere in this or next month.
I kinda abandoned this thread, but due to the latest news I update it.
Official team iDrift t-shirts I'm happy to announce a little something; the official team iDrift t-shirts. The shirts are designed by BBeast and Bose and will come in basically any colour you desire. Everyone that would like to own a t-shirt is free to order one from their favourite shop, we will give the images needed. The design is meant to fit this summer, so it has a nice design with nice bright colours which instantly makes you think of the summer. You can see all current shirts on the Facebook page. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter. A true iDrift fan has this shirt!
Saturday-night battle So the latest edition of the Saturday-night battle ended and it was a lot of fun! It may not have run as good as you expected, but that was due to some new rules Kyo (co-judge) taught me. I'd like to thank him for the great judging help. Next time should be a lot faster due to the experience I got from this battle.
I'd like to thank everyone that came to our battle and I hope you will be here next time.

Bamsefot joins team iDrift
It's been a while, but I'm happy to announce a new member joins team iDrift. I'd like to welcome Bamsefot to the team. He succesfully completed his trial within the time, and has proven himself to be a very competent and dedicated iDrift member. We sure will see some nice drifting from him as he is practising a lot and is happy to learn. Enjoy your stay and keep up the great drifting.
Always enjoying competing against others on drift servers? I've made it even more fun! If you have visited our server you may have noticed there's an insim running which counts points for drifting. These points are now also available to watch via our website. Simple go to the ranking page and see if you're on it. You can also look at some interesting statistics like which tracks and cars are most used on the server. The site just got a little more fun with this feature. I hope it causes some great (friendly) competition for all of you. If you are in-game and want to see your score, you simple can type !help for all available commands. Now get out there and beat those scores!
He has been around the server for around a year just looking and drifting with us. He is a personal friend of Peanut which makes it a lot easier to blend in the team. He's a great guy to talk with and a quick learner. Of course what matters the most are the skills he has in drifting. We practised with him he has improved by far the most we have ever seen and he still has a lot potential to improve even further. Please welcome Rauntz!
Today is exactly three years ago that team iDrift was created by Bose, in these three years we’ve had our ups and downs but we always managed to have fun and keep it sideways. I’d like to thank every that kept supporting us through all times, without your help we wouldn’t be where we are now.
For those who like some statistics: the last year we have had around 3800 unique drifters on our server which have drifted over 19000 laps together! Leading at the end of the year is [iD] Han on Kyoto. 83% of the drifters seem to use the XRT as their first choice and our favorite tracks were Kyoto and Autocross this year.
Our site always has been our pride and joy but this year we have done it a little different. There’s an overhaul on the current appearance boasting light and fresh colors together with brand new images to fit the fresh appearance. We plan to get even more social this year, so make sure to check out our Facebook page, our twitter and last but certainly not least, our YouTube channel!
This year we got a special surprise for the iDrift members. We’d like to present to you the special three year anniversary skin! This beauty which BBeast has worked on for the last few weeks is an excellent present for those who have stayed with us this year. Do you want to see this great new skin in action? Check out the video below!
Everyone from iDrift would like to wish you a great 2012!
Work on the website is a constant process and there's always something that can work better or look nicer. This time it's the forum that had to improve. The old layout and style looked too dark and did not match the looks of the website. Therefore the team has gathered to think about a way to improve it. There was only one idea that really worked, but it was drastic: make it all over. So that's what happened. In the past weeks we have been working hard on getting a design ready that blended in with the website and 2012 team skins without losing the feel of a regular forum. We have let no stone unturned and made sure we can offer this. Each and every pixel on all graphics and every page has been inspected to offer this experience. Even the smallest details have been taken care of, including support for colorblind people.
I could go on for ages about everything that made it so good, but in the end of the day you just have to see it with your own eyes! Please take a look at our new forum! Feel free to let us know what you think.
