hi all i wish to start a new team sponsored by my online shop www.pocketgift.co.uk. i have 2 skins made and uploaded just need some good drivers, i will be using the FOX as favoured race car but will expand to other cars at later date.

Just like in the other thread I mentioned. You should really make it clear what does it mean that the team is sponsored by your shop. Do the drivers get money, free zippos or what?

Surely you won't expect someone give you free advertising and get nothing in return?

Im looking for like minded people who just enjoy racing and want to be part of a team iv not heard of any other teams giving money to drivers or free zippos so why should i? Like i said in the other thread its possible i might get some zippos done out with team member engravings on them but iv not thought about it much, perhaps il go to the available drivers listings and ask around there.

So you obviously don't know what "sponsoring" means.

Yes i do it cost money to set a team up of which i will pay all so that is where my sponsor money is going please only post on this thread if you have something positive to add or want to know more about joing this team. Domain names servers ect all cost money think about it!

I don't mean in a negative way when I am enquiring about the benefits of driving for this team. It's just that the team basically works as an advertisement for your shop. Altough I don't think there are huge profits gained from advertising inside LFS, but still. You are making profit for having the team race, so it's only fair that the drivers get something in return too.

You covering the website hosting costs is a benefit, and or if it's possible to get zippos with team engravings its a benefit too. You need to just make clear what you will give to the team and what the team will give you, so that people can make decisions if they want to be part of this or not.

Other teams don't have to pay their drivers anything because there is no one person that gains financially from the team. And if some team has a sponsorship deal they actually do get some form of benefits (money, computer parts, whatever).

To be fair i am sponsored by google so if you search for zippos i come top of the list so as you said the likely gains of having my logos on my car are going to be minimal to say the least so in effect the team is only just a team like any other you would not be adding any financial gains but if suddenly every smoking member of the lfs community decieded to buy a zippo from my shop then i would want to share that with the team in one way or another.

So to clear it up a team needs its own skin logos on its car which i have done the fact its my own shop logo is niether here nor there i just want to go team racing in events if anyone is hardcore and enthusiastic enough they would want to do it just to race and compete in the proper events.

you were 5th not top. and sponsored by google?

i dont see any googleads on your website i dunno how google pay you.

but im sure you pay google a fee to come in top first page of results when typing in zippos

you worried me then for a sec so i went to google typed in zippo and i was 3rd highlighted sponsored link, i pay google a lot of money to be there they direct people to my site what did you type when i came up 5th as im paying to be right up the top?
