Hi all

Really stuck with this. My G25 recently died. Similar issue to what some others have had, ie. dimly lit power light, no ffb, wheel not registering when turned but eveything else seems okay..... oh and a strange smell from right side air vent.

Anyway I have done the following to try and find whats broken:

• Checked power pack with multimeter - putting out 23.8v so I assume its fine.
  
• Opened up wheel and connected the motors to a power source and both spin as "normal". They were spinning pretty slowly but they were only connected to a 3v power source. No idea how fast a normal motor should spin.
  
• Checked solder at power/dc input of wheel. Looks fine.
  
• Capacitors etc on board all look fine.
  

Any ideas on further tests? Dont really wanna ditch this wheel especially if its an easy fix.

Oh yeah, no warranty as it was an ebay purchase.

Definitely a power/power supply issue. Try find a replacement for the brick in the power line or somehow do more tests on it *shrug* All those symptoms point to a power issue
