That has nothing to do with logic, though. It is a fallacy to say that one must hate cars if they hate engines, or vice versa. A car does not require an engine to be a car. One does not have to be a part of the hip-hop subculture to make rap music. Also, one does not have to make/enjoy rap music to be a part of the hip-hop subculture. For example, graffiti writing is considered part of the hip-hop culture, but has no required connection to rap music.

It may be uncommon, but surely it does happen. A good example would be pop stars that make rap music, like Lil Wayne or something. Sure, he makes rap music, but he's not at all a part of the hip-hop subculture. It's still a fallacy to claim that one must hate rap music if they hate the hip-hop subculture, or vice versa. One does not depend on the other.
