On the engine cover, the black kinda spray paint look under the mercedes logo is a bit rough

Yes it is. I'm not a big fan of it though, as I thought Mercedes GP's test Livery was cool enough. But I guess they were shooting for the Silver arrow story (scraping paint off to show carbon) style.
